MATILDA BUFFALO
Matilda Buffalo is a soft leaf variety that maintains its evergreen colour throughout the year. It is a low maintenance lawn - drought tolerant with mowing and watering less frequent.
Can grow in full sun and shade. It has a fibrous root system and high leaf density which helps it maintain moisture and needs less water than other buffalo varieties.
Matilda Buffalo has a dense root system that can withstand wear, disease and is ideal around pools.
Shade Master Soft Leaf Buffalo is a slow growing buffalo which can tolerate being grown in shade. It will persist to grow in unfavorable conditions.
Dark green in colour, during colder months it will develop a purple tinge on the tip of the leaf. This will disappear once warmer weather comes.
Does not have drought tolerance like other varieties, water usage is average however it can withstand high amount of wear and recovers well from damage.
WINTER GREEN COUCH
Winter Green Couch is characterised by its dark green colour. It is best grown in full sun; it can withstand hot conditions well.
It requires average lawn mowing, however in summer it has a high mowing frequency. More susceptible to wear in high traffic areas, Winter Green Couch is normally used in schools, parks and golf courses rather than in domestic applications.
To get the best appearance, it does require ongoing maintenance.
Kenda Kikuyu remains green in winter. Prefers full sun, grows poorly in shady areas. Vigorous grower makes it ideal for areas prone to wear and tear. Performs well in poor soils and is good for erosion control.
Sterile variety of Kikuyu, this makes it less likely to produce seeds; there is less of a chance that birds will spread seeds in your garden.
KIKUYU
Kikuyu has a high drought tolerance. It recovers quickly from damage which makes it good for high traffic areas. Ideal for use in sports fields, schools and large areas.
Establishes quickly and is best grown in full sun. Requires frequent mowing during warmer months.
